> Irresponsible waste management causing clogged drains
The lack of enforcement under the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007 (Act 672) is resulting in clogged drains from the irresponsible actions of eateries and car workshops. Trash such as leftover food, oil and grease is being dumped into drains, clogging them and causing a bad stench. However, the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (PPSPPA) has commenced an "Ops Longkang" campaign that focusses on 140 locations in Kuala Lumpur which have a poor record of waste management.
