> Boy loses fingers after firecracker explodes in his hand
A 14-year-old boy in Kelantan lost two of his fingers when a firecracker he was holding exploded before he could throw it. Mohd Idham Syafiq Mohd Tahir, a form two student from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Gual Periok, also sustained injuries on his cheeks and right eye in the 2pm Sunday incident.
> Drug dealer hides ganja in his underwear
The son of a holiday chalet owner in Pulau Pangkor was caught by police after he was found to be in possession of heroin, methamphetamine and ganja. The suspect, in his 20s, is reported to have hidden some of the drugs in his underwear when the Manjung Narcotics Department raided his house on the island at 4.30 am, Monday. The suspect had previous been arrested for possessing and distributing drugs on the island.

Malaysian ambassador to Egypt, Datuk Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari said that it is impossible and ridiculous to marry a Syrian or Egyptian girl because it will cost those who want to marry them lots of money. Many marriage advertisements have been disseminated via WhatsApp and based on those advertisements, men were required to pay just RM4,420 to marry a Syrian girl. Ku Jaafar said that the advertisements have been seen on Facebook since June last year and now, they were being distributed via WhatsApp. He urged people not to believe the advertisements.
> Teen attempts to jump from third floor of school building
A 15-year-old student from Marudi, Sarawak, caused a scare in her school when she attempted to jump from the third floor of her school building on Friday. Fire and Rescue Services personnel rushed to the scene and managed to persuade her to relent. It is believed that the girl had an argument with her foster parents on the day of the incident. Police are investigating the case under Section 309 of the Penal Code for attempted suicide.
