Woman raped and bathed by knife-wielding suspect
> A 26-year-old woman was raped by a knife-wielding man in Sungai Besi. She was later bathed by the suspect before he fled with RM60, a laptop and handphone. The woman was alone at home and was sleeping before she was attacked by the man at 9am.

Police deny claims of kidnappers targeting students for their organs in Selangor
> The police have denied again over claims that a white van with a Thai car registration number was lurking to kidnap students for their organs in Selangor. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police have not received any reports about alleged kidnappings.

On June 18, the police had on its Facebook page rubbished the claims that had been circulating in social media. Despite that, three schools in Kuala Selangor and Sepang have issued a circular warning parents to be vigilant of their children’s safety. 

Father of disabled teen who was found in flat died two years ago
> According to records from the National Registration Department (NRD), the father of disabled 15-year-old Muhammad Firdaus Dullah who was found in utter neglect and severely malnourished in a flat in Taman Semarak, Nilai, had passed away two years ago in 2012. He was 53 years old and was from Kampung Belantangi in Kinarut, Sabah.

> The mother of Muhammad Firdaus described him as the apple of her eyes on her Facebook in 2011 despite him being disabled. The boy’s 40-year-old mother posted a photo of Muhammad Firdaus on a wheelchair at their unit in Nilai on her Facebook on Nov 5, 2011.

Shoplifting spree for family ends

> A family of four, who are allegedly a gang of thieves, targeting milk powder, had been caught by police in Kajang at about 6pm on Saturday. The mother, son, daughter-in-law and future son-in-law, aged between 24 and 54, were detained when they were trying to sell the loot to a grocery shop operator.

The 28-year-old operator had also been detained by the police. According to the police, the mother would steal the milk while others would keep watch and try to divert the attention of the staff. 


Feng Yi and Fu Wa ready to meet their “guests

> Giant pandas Feng Yi and Fu Wa would officially meet their “guests” in Zoo Negara starting Friday (June 27). Zoo Negara’s deputy president Rosly Rahmat Ahmat Lana said the number of visitors would be restricted to between 150 and 180 people per group. He said three groups were allowed to enter the panda centre every hour.

Rosly Rahmat said the panda centre was expected to receive about 4,000 visitors per day. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will attend the official opening ceremony of the centre tomorrow. (June 25).
