THERE has been a surge in interest among local and foreign students in petroleum engineering courses at the Curtin University Malaysia campus in Miri.
This is fuelled by an upturn in the global oil and gas industry; a trend that is also confirmed by global rating agency Moody, said Curtin Malaysia pro vice-chancellor and chief executive Prof Jim Mienczakowski.
