THEY won’t be any good in a race but the new electric cars have certainly accelerated Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) closer to its goal of being a truly green campus.

The local university is the first to utilise three Toyota Chotto Odekake Machimade Suisu (COMS) electric cars that will be used for its car sharing transportation system.
