We publish the last instalment of our Teachers Day tributes today.
I had many caring and loving teachers during my kindergarten days. The one that is closest to my heart is “Teacher Jessica”.
She stands out from the crowd because of her loving character. I would shout and cry during my first month in kindergarten as everything was so new.
Teacher Jessica is very patient. Since I was little, I have had problems holding a pencil but she sat with me for three months and trained me till I got it right.
Her classes are always full of adventures. She also used many recycled items in class.
She taught us to be independent too. She created an opportunity for us to do grocery shopping and learn how to cook and prepare food. It was really fun.
Teacher Jessica encouraged us to eat healthy food in kindergarten. She taught us not to eat junk food or fast food,
She said that I am a born leader. She has motivated me so much. I miss her hugs. — Tanusya Manaimuttu
