White coat ceremony marks clinical training

Hard work: The students who received the white coats have just completed two-and-a-half years of the medical programme’s pre-clinical phase.

CONSISTENT studying and good time management are two components that medical student Foo Wee Nee attributed to the secret of her success for being the top student in her class.

The 23-year-old softspoken lass from Kluang, Johor, outsmarted 372 other medical students from Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Middle East, Asia and Africa to become the Gold Medal and First Place winner at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) for best aggregate marks across all modules, over the two-and-a-half years of pre-clinical training (Junior Cycle) completed in Dublin, Ireland.
