PTAs have a say in school security

PARENT-teacher associations (PTAs) have a say when it involves matters pertaining to the school’s security and its guards. Parent Action Group for Education Malaysia (PAGE) chairman Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim said that while the contract was between the security company and Education Ministry, the school and the PTA had a say in the security services offered.

She said that when she was involved in the PTA of her children’s school, parents could offer suggestions on school security to the school.
