Preparing for next April: Ang explaining how NEC’s Retail-in-a-Box, all-in-one subscription model, GST-ready retail solution can make the transition to GST reporting simple, effective and cost-efficient for SMEs.

With the goods and services tax (GST) expected to be implemented by April next year, NEC Corporation of Malaysia senior general manager Lawrence Ang says it is timely that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) prepare themselves with the right tools in terms of software and equipment.

The Japanese multinational provider of information technology services and products is currently testing the local market’s demand for its point of sale (POS) system, called Retail-in-a-Box, which is designed to help SMEs track their sales for GST requirements.
