About 2,000 cyclists from many countries join the night ride jamboree

Cyclists bogged down by mud and water puddles along the off-road trails. Nevertheless, the setbacks did not deter them from completing the event.

MALACCA: Close to 2,000 cyclists from Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, England, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and the United States of America as well as expatriates residing in the state and Kuala Lumpur participated in the 6th edition of the ‘Burung Hantu’ Night Ride Jamboree organised by the Environment Cycling Club of Malacca (ECCM).

Formed in 2008, the ECCM launched by former Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, strongly advocates recreational cycling using mountain bikes, fun cycling activities, competitive and social rides apart from creating awareness of healthy lifestyle pursuits.
