THE current dengue epidemic took centre stage during the question-and-answer session on the first day of the Perak state assembly session.
Concerned about the worrying figures of 5,676 cases reported until the end of November, which translates to an 180.7% increase compared to the 2,022 cases reported during the same period last year, as revealed by state Health Committee chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon (BN-Chenderiang), assemblymen from both sides of the political divide quizzed the state government on what was being done to remedy the situation.
