Travel has become part of my DNA. It’s a sad truth that after a number of years on a travel holiday, its back to the seemingly endless roundabout of airport check-ins, security, metal tubes hurtling through the sky and business hotels. Making the whole thing work is a science that, if done properly, means that business travel can be at least tolerable if not pleasurable.

In days of old, people dressed for travel. Suits, jackets and ties for the men, semi-formal for the women. Now, its come down to dressing for security. Dress for the worst-case scenario. Comfortable shoes are important, not only for the airport where trekking from one gate to another is important, but also for passing through the scanners. Find shoes that go off and on quickly, are comfortable, can put up with a constant beating and are reasonably priced.
