TEACHERS Zamani Omar and her husband Amirizam Mustafa are thankful for the distance learning programme offered by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) as it offered working parents like them a chance to pursue their higher education.

The couple, both 41, who have been married for 15 years, have four daughters aged between six and 14.
