Curbing water theft


AGEING water infrastructure, third-party excavation works and leaking pipes due to poor workmanship must be addressed to reduce non-revenue water (NRW).

Selangor MCA Complaints Bureau chief Kelvin Chong said burst pipelines due to ageing pipes, accidental damage during excavation works and pipe leakages that contributed to NRW must be fixed and must not become the motive to increase the water deposit for unaccounted treated water.
