Pinto and her husband Quah from Klang admiring the new DS5 on display at Pavilion
CITROEN’s latest model, the DS5 brought a touch of French elegance to the Swiss Watch Gallery Time Kulture 2014 exhibition in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.
Citroen Malaysia, named one of the Lifestyle partners for the week-long timepiece exhibition, hosted a special cocktail reception for watch enthusiasts.
The Time Kulture 2014 exhibition, a collaboration with the Valiram Group, showcased some of the finest Swiss-made brands.
Naza Euro Motors Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Datuk Samson Anand George said this was their first time collaborating with a watch group.
“It is great being connected to these brands. We believe that watches are an extension of one’s personality and the DS5 also brings out its owner’s personality,” he added.
Some 150 guests comprising prospective customers and existing clients attended the reception.
Samson said the collaboration also helped reinforce the rebranding exercise they have undertaken since Naza took over Citroen Malaysia last year.
He said these high-end watch enthusiasts were the same audience Naza Euro Motors was targetting for the DS5.
He said they were hoping to create a database of potential customers as well.
“We wanted guests from the exhibition to visit our showroom to test-drive the car, so we gave out vouchers for premium gifts to be redeemed at our showroom,” he added.
Samson said they wanted guests to test-drive the cars so they could appreciate their fine European technology.
Citroen Malaysia has three showrooms in the Klang Valley, two in Penang and one in Johor.
Citroen car lovers, Roy Quah and his wife Belinda Pinto from Klang, were among those who attended the event.
Quah said he was able to kill two birds with one stone as he was looking for a watch for Pinto and hoping to view the DS5.
The husband and wife are the proud owners of the first DS3 and DS4 limited edition in the country and are looking at purchasing the DS5 as a family car next year.
