Slight drop in road accidents in Penang during op

PENANG recorded a 22.7% reduction in road accidents during Ops Selamat this year compared with the statistics of a similar traffic operation held in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration last year.

Penang police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Abdul Rahim Hanafi said the number of accidents dropped by 340 cases during the 17-day operation this year compared to last year’s.
