KOTA KINABALU: Parking offenders here will receive a “gift” from city hall in conjunction with the Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations – a RM30 flat rate for all their parking fines if they pay up before Oct 3.
Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir said this was also part of its aim to collect a portion of the accumulated RM58 million in parking fines issued since 2003 in a two-month amnesty period starting Wednesday.
