KUCHING: It is unfair for the authorities to blame villagers for holding up the impoundment of the Bengoh dam when they have already moved out of the reservoir area.
Sarawak PKR vice-chairman See Chee How said while it was true that the affected villagers had filed legal action seeking a declaration of native customary rights (NCR) over their ancestral land in upper Bengoh, they had not hindered the dam’s construction or impoundment in any way.
