School for Punjabi classes to start soon

Full of promise: Students looking around their new classroom after the reopening of the Khalsa Dharmik School at Wadda Gudwara Sahib in Penang.

THE Khalsa Dharmik School, an institution for the Punjabi community, has been restored to its former glory after more than two years of reconstruction of its old building.

Built in the 1930s as an annex to the existing heritage Wadda Gurdwara Sahib in Jalan Gurdwara, Penang, the building became dilapidated through the years and was on the verge of collapse.
