YEAR Nine student Verena Koay of the Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) gave a spirited performance on her violin which had the audience cheering during a joint concert by POWIIS and the Uppingham School Chapel Choir of England.
Her rendition of Eugene Ysaye’s Obsession followed by Carlos Gardel’s Por una cabeza with Victor Kam on the piano were the highlights of the concert, held at the POWIIS Auditorium in Air Putih, Balik Pulau, Penang.
