THERE will be direct flights between Alor Setar and Langkawi beginning next year if plans by two firms which aim to start a new low-cost airline materialises.
Bumi Aviation Sdn Bhd and Neptune Air Sdn Bhd have identified Langkawi as their first destination for the airline which will use the Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Kepala Batas near Alor Setar as its hub.
