TWO non-governmental organisations in Penang have urged the authorities to stop land reclamation and hill-cutting projects in the state to combat climate change.
S.M Mohammad Idris, president of Sahabat Alam Malaysia (SAM) and Consumers Association of Penang (CAP), said both organisations were not pointing fingers at any specific project but land reclamation and hill cutting had destroyed the hills and polluted the sea.
