ANY development in Pedu Lake in Kedah will have to be carefully planned so as not to affect the flora and fauna in the area, said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
"I was told that there are more than 50 plant species endemic to the area. The state wants to preserve these species and we will not allow any development to affect the ecosystem there.
