JOHOR BARU: It has become a norm for residents staying in the first floor of the Taman Daya low-cost flats here to be greeted by faeces floating in their toilet bowls due to a long-standing septic tank problem at the housing area.

Besides the unsightly waste, residents staying at the second floor and above are sick and tired of the unpleasant smell that comes from the ground floor, where the septic tank overflows with waste and brown water trickles into the drains.
