Developer can be hauled to court for ignoring stop-work order, says KL mayor

COURT action awaits the developer who defied Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) stop-work order and continued with illegal clearing and earthwork at a hill in Mont Kiara bordering the Kiara Forest Reserve.

Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib said DBKL was looking at the possibility of taking the developer to court, and to push for a heavy penalty.
