POH Kong Jewellers celebrated Chap Goh Meh and Valentine’s Day this year at two locations in Penang and Kuala Lumpur with prizes worth up to RM10,000 for grabs.

Chap Goh Meh is traditionally observed with single women throwing mandarin oranges at the nearest river with their names and phone numbers on them — signifying that they are available for marriage — while single men will wait with nets to fish out the oranges in the hopes of meeting their soulmates.
