KUCHING: The Prevention of Crime (Amendment and Extension) Act 2013, soon to come into force, will only be used as a last resort against hardcore criminals.
Giving this assurance, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said it would not be used to detain political opponents or dissidents.
