DO NOT be fooled by Lydia Lim Shiau Ting’s demure good looks. This young lady from Selayang has quite a penchant for adventure.
Lim has just completed her final exams for her Business Management diploma and is working as a full-time model as she awaits her results.
“I can earn a decent income through modelling but after I graduate, I might want to look for a career in human resource management,” said Lim when asked about her plans for the future.
She enjoys playing badminton occasionally and is currently learning to swim.
“Once I am a confident swimmer, I want to try to become a certified scuba diver,” said Lim.
“I have snorkelled in Redang, Bali, Phuket and Pattaya before. Life under the sea is beautiful and it feels really relaxing to be out there.”
However, Lim claims that she has not been able to do much snorkelling in recent years as she needs to look after her skin for her modelling job.
“I would love to give paintball a try too, but then I wouldn’t be able to model if I’m covered in bruises,” she said with a laugh.
Angelina Jolie. I think she is very brave to have opted for mastectomy to prevent breast cancer. She reminds us all that we ought to love what we have on the inside more than on the outside.
I would have to say bungee jumping. I am still young and life is short, so why not go for it?
Nope, I don’t think I’m scared of insects at all. I was selected for National Service and being in the middle of the jungle, we shared our dormitory with a large number of insects every night!
Definitely Paris. It is such a romantic city so I would love to go there with my boyfriend; and if I can afford to, I would love to take my parents too.
I would like to work on my interpersonal skills. I want to learn how to communicate with the people around me more effectively.
