SIBU: Some 100 former soldiers will be bestowed the Pingat Jasa Malaysia (PJM) for gallantry during their military service, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Sarawak’s independence in Malaysia, and the 53th anniversary celebration of Warriors Day.
Except for 10, all the other recipients were born before Sept 16, 1963, the day Malaysia was born.
