MALACCA: New sand mining projects in the state would be subjected to more stringent rules following the state government’s decision to implement a new policy on the activity.
Companies applying for sand mining permits from the state government will also have to obtain permits from the state Minerals and Geoscience Department, Environment Department and Land and Mines Office.
