Fatimah: Increase in fuel prices may benefit lower-income groups

KUCHING: Lower-income groups stand to benefit from the 20 sen rise in RON95 petrol and diesel prices if the subsidy savings are put towards increasing the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M).

Welfare, Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah did not deny that the price increase would have an impact on daily life.
