Social welfare agencies need standards, says Fatimah

MIRI: All agencies that cater for public needs like old folk homes, daycare centres, kindergartens and creches need to have certain standards to adhere to and for monitoring purposes, and to ensure that they only offer the best services to their residents.

Welfare, Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah said her ministry had completed the module for daycare centres which, among other things, required the operators to be licensed.
