KUCHING: It is highly unlikely for Padawan to attain city status despite its rapid population growth and development.
Local Government and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh said even if Padawan fulfilled the requirements, it would be a long time before the municipality gets upgraded to a city.
