BEGGARS taking advantage of the generosity of Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan have turned up in droves in the inner city of George Town.
State Welfare Services Department (JKM) director Zulkifli Ismail said the beggars, who came from as far as Cambodia and Myanmar, had been spotted outside mosques and all over the inner city.
