JOHOR BARU: A freelance real estate agent was fined RM10,000 and imprisoned for one day after he took a bribe from a houseowner who wanted him to “back off” after the agent won the bid for his house in Taman Kempas Baru.
The accused Kua Boon Huat, 49, admitted to receiving the RM1,000 bribe from the previous house owner M. Rajamanogaran in front of the High Court here in Johor Baru at about 10.35am on April 18.
