Classical twist by MPO’s musicians

A JOLLY music piece with a touch of mischief played using three brass instruments has put a new spin on the meaning of classical music.

Defying the usually rigid pattern of the music genre, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) brass trio, consisting of John Bourque (trumpet), James Schumacher (horn) and Marques Young (trombone), interpreted French composer Francis Poulenc’s classic piece “Rondeau” with their own lively rendition during their chamber concert at The Dome in Meru Valley Golf & Country Club, Ipoh, on Saturday.
