Errant traders face tough action

ERRANT restaurant operators in Petaling Jaya risk having their licences suspended for two-weeks under a proposed three strikes policy that aims to ensure cleanliness and hygiene are not compromised.

Petaling Jaya deputy mayor Puasa Md Taib said the city council (MBPJ) would put forward a motion at its full board meeting this month, to impose harsher punishment on habitual offenders, like those who flout food regulations or fail to dispose of food waste properly.
