JOHOR BARU: The Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) has thwarted two attempts to smuggle in cigarette cloves of all sorts of an estimated RM870,000 via a boat at Batu Pahat here recently.
Batu Pahat Maritime enforcement chief, Lieutenant Commander Iskandar Ishak said that the incidents occurred at Sungai Pulai and Sungai Benut in Batu Pahat on May 16 and 19 respectively.
