MUAR: The people have been urged to always protect the rivers in Johor from pollution and contamination as they are the main source for freshwater fish.
State Fisheries Department director Abdul Hamid Mohd Yassin said fish sources had been badly affected with the dumping of chemical and plantation wastes into the waterways.
