RESIDENTS of Kepong Baru in Kuala Lumpur will not give up their fight in seeking compensation from the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) for the damages suffered during a flash flood in April last year.
At a meeting last week with DID officers and representatives of the contractor Petro-dec Sdn Bhd, the residents were informed by the contractor’s insurance company that they were not eligible for compensation as the flooding was deemed to be a natural disaster.
