New CIMB bond fund aims to provide attractive returns

CIMB-PRINCIPAL Asset Management Bhd (CIMB-Principal) recently launched the CIMB-Principal Enhanced Opportunity Bond Fund, a close-ended fund that will see investment in both local and foreign bonds, predominantly in Asian bonds, and provide potential returns above traditional deposits.

Speaking at the launch, CIMB-Principal deputy chief executive Munirah Khairuddin said, “Despite global uncertainties last year, the Asian bond market has continued to record consistent growth. The launch of this fund is, therefore, timely as the Asian bond market is expected to provide fairly decent returns and continue to attract foreign interest.
