A GIANT 15.2m-long snake replica will take centre stage at the Penang State Chinese New Year Countdown celebrations in Esplanade to usher in the Chinese New Year.
State Tourism Development Culture Committee chairman Danny Law Heng Kiang said the replica, built for the first time, is made of wooden planks, to welcome the Year of the Snake in the Chinese lunar calendar.
