14 Match the Steps contest winners selected

PETALING JAYA: The 14 winners of the Match the Steps competition, held in conjunction with the musical extravaganza Mystical Steppes: Along the Silk Road, have been selected.

They will be notified via the telephone.

The Star advertisement sales executive C.K. Wong, one of the judges, said the response was overwhelming.

“Given the short period of time of the competition, we received 4,670 entries, which is something we are very proud of,” he said during the judging session at Menara Star here yesterday.

The other judges were Osim (M) Sdn Bhd public relations and events executive Jade Loh and Astro government and public relations executive Tan Yin Yin.

“We are very pleased with the response. People were still calling in to enquire about the contest even after the competition closed,” said Loh.

“It’s good to know that the contest managed to attract much attention from the public,” she said, adding that Osim’s sponsorship in the competition was to support the diversity in cultures and art and to foster closer ties between Malaysia and China.

“The response obviously proved to us that people were very receptive to the musical extravaganza – as only ticket holders were entitled to participate in the contest,” said Tan.

She said Astro supported the event because the musical was something new and different from the norm.

The grand prize is an Osim iMedic Pro massage chair worth RM8,998; the first prize, an iSqueez foot massager worth RM1,588; the second prize, a uPapa back massager worth RM998; and the third prize, a uZap slimming belt worth RM798.

Consolation prizes consist of massage pens and Astro decoders.
