Xinjiang Tuesday January 30, 2007 Genting treat for Mystical team KUALA LUMPUR: The fatigue from performing seven shows over the weekend vanished as soon as the cast and crew of Mystical Steppes: Along the Silk Road walked into Genting Theme Park yesterday. Many of them let out excited squeals when they saw the numerous rides there. And the entire time that they were there, there was nothing but laughter. They experienced 4D movie viewing and visited the many retail outlets, including Osim’s branch, at the First World Hotel.
Troupe leader Airken Kutubiding described the food as “good and authentic”. The group also paid a brief visit to the Visitors Galleria to learn about Genting Group founder Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong and his success story before leaving for Kuala Lumpur, where some of them went to Jalan Masjid India to shop.
The Xinjiang group too played their folk music and performed several dance steps there much to the delight of everyone at the restaurant. Mystical Steppes, a kaleidoscope of dances and music from the Xinjiang region of China, was presented by The Star and Osim (M) Sdn Bhd, and supported by the Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry.
