Unkempt premises a breeding gournd for mosquitoes and other pests

I LIVE along Lintasan Istana in Taman Istana. This residential area is right in the heart of Ipoh city. In fact, it is just across the road from the State Secretariat Building.

The house next to mine has been abandoned for about three years. The backyard has turned into a mini jungle. It is the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes and other pests and creepy crawlies. I once had to kill a small snake that had slithered into my house!
