The late Datuk Seri Paul Mony was an extraordinary man and dedicated to the cause

His passing captured the headlines in local newspapers. Born in the small town of Kuala Ketil, Kedah, he was a teacher-turned-lecturer who went on to become one of the most admirable football administrators that this nation and region had ever seen.

The beautiful game of football and the hallowed corridors of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in Kelana Jaya was his first home. That was how Datuk Seri Paul Mony lived his life until his death at the age of 72, ravaged by Parkinson’s disease.
