Putting prima donnas to shame

What do Americans Marla Runyan, Erik Weihenmayer, Trischa Zorn, Craig MacFarlane and Malaysian Felicia Mikat have in common? Well, literally they are all groping in the dark but are champions in their very own way.

Marla is a track and field athlete, road runner and marathon runner but is legally blind. A three-time national champion in the women’s 5000m, Marla was also the first legally blind athlete to participate in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and was placed eighth in the 1,500m - the highest finish by an American woman at that event.
