Proactive step to recover arrears

JOHOR BARU: Faced with RM120mil in assessment arrears, the Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) has decided to launch an operation to seize assets of errant account holders.

On Tuesday, a total of 20 personnel from three MBJB departments – Evaluation, Enforcement and the Auxiliary Police unit – conducted the first such operation which involved five account holders with unpaid taxes amounting to RM43,173.
