NINE national athletes wowed the 8,000-strong crowd at the torch run of the closing ceremony of Penang Olympic Carnival 2019 at the Esplanade.
The fans tried to get up close and even take selfies with these greats including badminton hero Datuk Lee Chong Wei, ex-Olympic cyclist Safarudin Zain, athlete Datuk Krishnan Tambu, athlete PLBS Peyadesa, hockey players Takbir Ahmad Nazir, Keevan Raj, Jiwa Mohan, archer Cheng Chu Sian, Youth Olympic Games badminton champion Goh Jin Wei and Olympic Games silver medallist Chan Peng Soon.
