PASSING down the significance of customs and traditions and the meaning of celebrating the Vaisakhi festival, families and friends from the Sikh community gathered at the Wadda Gurdwara Sahib in Jalan Gurdwara, Penang, to celebrate the birth of the Khalsa brotherhood.

They were seen at the darbar (prayer hall) seeking blessings as well as mingling and enjoying the array of vegetarian food, sweets and savoury snacks at the buffet station.
